Edit Your Profile

It is easy to edit the personal profile you created when you registered as a netTrekker d.i. user. Your personal profile contains information about your password and your role as either a teacher or student.

Edit Your Profile
Here's how to edit your personal profile:

  • Access Your Profile
To access your profile, and make changes to it, click on Profile in the My Tools box at the right of any page.
    • Example of Profile in My Tools:

  • Make Changes to Your Profile
netTrekker d.i. will immediately display your personal profile. By filling out this form you are permanently changing your current account information.

      Example of a Personal Profile:
      Profile

    Password (and Re-enter Your Password)
Create a new password in the Password field. Repeat your new password in the Confirm Password field for verification.

    Password Question and Answer
Choose a Question from the drop-down menu and provide an answer that you will clearly remember. These "hints" will be provided to you in the event that you ever forget your password and need a little help.

    Current School Role
The user role determines functionality and View and Change rights on Class, School, and District shared resources. By default, all netTrekker user roles are set as Student. A user can change a login role from Student to Teacher by means of the Teacher Code. The Teacher role can create classes in My Portfolio, and move, copy, bookmark, edit, and delete resources in the School Portfolio and District Portfolio. Among other functions, the Administrator role can modify the View and Change rights of School and District shared resources.

    Teacher Code
Each school's netTrekker Administrator will create a Teacher Code and should communicate that Teacher Code to all teachers within the school. If you are a teacher, obtain the Teacher Code from your Admin so you can use it to modify your profiles. Enter your school's unique Teacher Code in the appropriate box and click Submit. This will change your status from Student to Teacher. This will allow you to create classes in My Portfolio.

    Your School
If you move from one school to another in a district, you can change your school by clicking on the Your School pull-down menu and choosing the correct school listed there.

  • Save Your Changes
When you have completed your changes to your profile, click to save.
